Soar like an eagle!

Isaiah 40:30-31 says Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” This bible verse talks about being tired and weary in this world and what happens to those whose hope is in the Lord.

Young eagles learn how to fly from their parents and by practicing near their nests. One of the main ways they practice is by spreading their wings and jumping to a nearby branch. These young eagles slowly learn how to fly over time by watching their parents fly. This is the same in our spiritual life. We start out as young eagles but we learn from our Lord and savior how to live spiritually in this world. We learn this by asking the holy spirit to guide us and by reading the bible and praying every day.

When the young eagles are finally ready to fly on their own the result is amazing. They can soar up to 20,000 feet high in the sky. They overcame all the small failures in their life they first encountered when learning how to fly and over time they slowly became stronger and faster and as a result, they are now able to fly high in the sky.

Learning to live as Christians in this world is going to bring with it a lot of challenges and obstacles and failures. This world has a way of making all of us grow tired and weary. We might have lost our hope in the lord. We might have forgotten what it is to fly and soar high. The only way to get back up is to trust in the lord and put our hope in him. Once we start doing that we will slowly but surely learn to soar on wings again like eagles. We will be able to overcome the world through our faith and hope in Jesus Christ!

Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths”. If we start trusting in the Lord and seeking his plan for our life then he will slowly begin to direct our paths. This is the blueprint for our Christian life. If we are to live in this world then we need Jesus Christ. We need to learn to trust in him every day and pray for his guidance so he can direct our paths. When we start doing so then you will surely begin to soar like an eagle because the creator of the whole universe is now by your side!
