The God of the Universe is here for you!

We all know from Genesis 1:1 that God created the entire Universe. We know that the universe is big. It is so big in fact that scientists had to come up with the term called “The known Universe” to describe the part of the Universe that we know about. Yes, much of the Universe is still unknown! The known Universe is so massive that we have to use light-years to measure the distance. The known universe is currently approximately 96 billion light-years long in diameter. It could be way bigger than that as we discover more of the Universe.

Our planet Earth is nothing but a little microscopic dot compared to what is out there in the universe. To put all this into perspective, there are more galaxies in this universe than all the grains of sand in our whole world. The grand scale of our universe only confirms the greatness of our God. Hebrews 11:3 says “By faith, we understand that the universe was created by God’s command so that what is seen has been made from things that are not visible.” The amazing part of all this is that our God created all this from nothing. He simply spoke it into existence.

David says in Psalm 19:1 says “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky proclaims the work of His hands.” If you go out on a clear night and look up into the sky you will see that the stars do proclaim the glory of our God. There are so many stars in the sky that they cannot even be counted and these are just stars we can see. Scientists approximate the the number of stars in our Universe to around 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 in number. Yes! that is a real number and that is just an approximation of the stars in our known universe. There is probably a lot more out there.

Job 22:12 says “Isn’t God as high as the heavens? And look at the highest stars, how lofty they are!” All around us, we see the mighty works of our God and his amazing creation and yet we forget that the God of the entire Universe loves us as his own. As far as we know, there is only one planet that hosts life in our Universe, and that life was created there by God. God loved the people on this tiny planet so much that He sent his Son, Jesus to die for our sins so that we can have an eternal relationship with him.

Romans 8:38-39 says “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The God of the entire universe loves us more than everything he created and he is there for us when we need him. If the existence of the Universe is any indication of what He can do, then nothing in your life is too big for our God to handle.  He can fix any situation you are in if you go to him for help. Isn’t that amazing?
