Who remembers watching this skit in 2009? I remember when this video came out, not one person could watch it without crying. I watched it recently, 12 years later and it still makes me cry (especially towards the end).
Why does this video make everyone cry? even so many years later? Simple, It is a true representation of God’s love for us.
We cry because this is our life story, acted out in such a simple yet powerful way. How many times have we messed up and fallen short of God’s glory? How many times have we let ourselves be tempted by the pleasures of this life? How many times have we forgotten God and tried to make it on our own? Too many to count.
God has not given up on us yet. He is waiting for us to come back to him. Jesus says in Matthew 11 28-29, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. “.
God is waiting for you to come back to him. He is the only one who knows you from the inside out. He knows how you feel and He knows what you need. He can turn your life around. So go back to God! Don’t delay! Just like we see at the end of the video, God will step in and make things right, if you cry out to him for help.
